In Hong Kong, it's hard to see a clear sky because of the air pollution...! Thanks God, I took some pictures once times after rain. Enjoy! BTW, it is a famous place for photo lover to take sunset in HK. Last time, since I went for hiking, so I didn't waited until sunset. May be someday lar~ enjoy!

Hello everyone, it so nice to have a share platform here. It will motivate me to take more photo regularly. I am not a professional in this field, most of time I just use 'P' mode to taking shoot. Anyway, just enjoy it lar~

F1 PowerBoat Racing

Sport photography is one of my favourite photography subjects. On last Sunday, Shenzhen had the F1 Power Boat Racing. Since Shenzhen is very close to Hongkong, I decide to go there and take some pictures. The race is less exciting and interesting than I thought. (Less than 20 boats and the race is only around 45 mins…)

I only bring my EOS1DMKIII and 100-400mm lens for this trip. Since the boats are far away from the place we stand, I need to add the extender (1.4x) in some cases. Moreover, the weather is very hazy and I need to do a bit adjustment in photo editing.

If you want to see more pictures and know the photo info. (e.g. shutter speed, ISO, aperture, etc), please visit my album.

Recently bought a new camera (panasonic LX3). Still learning to adapt to the camera. Attached are some of shot taken. Please comment on the photos as I am very new to photography.
The girls always enjoy going to the beach. This was taken during our last trip to Marine Parade. Isabelle who is the elder sister enjoys the sea and sand very much.

Model LIke Photography Contribution

This form of photography can be achieved by a tilt and shift lens however most model like photography are created with the use of Photoshop. I have attached some of my model like pictures for your viewing.

Naoki Honjo - Japanese Contemporary Photographer

When I visited Japan earlier, I found an interesting photo book called "Small Planet, Naoki Honjo". This Japanese photographer spend a lot of time & effort to take the "model like" pictures. He is the Master of the "model like" photography.

After reading this book, I follow his idea and take the "model like" pictures : )

Attached are his photographs samples and his information:

Naoki Honjo

Honjo photographs containers, urban environments, express highways, sporting events, and countryside. They are mostly populated with people. The photos are as shot from towers, skyscrapers, or helicopters using a tilt shift lens, which makes the environments appear to be model like. They are not altered through computer manipulation. Honjo aims to express a "sense of falseness" about the environments we live in. This gives the viewer the strange sense of looking at an image that is between fiction and reality.
