Regional Operations Conference 2009
We have this every beginning of the year, but this year did it in slightly different way. The agenda this year focus more on the upcoming changes for the Operations team and the moving forward plans.
The Conference having more discussion sessions this years between the team members and the HODs. This concept encourage team members to speak up their opinions and concerns on the new changes ahead.
Feedback have been discussed and summarised openly, I guess this will keep HODs busying for whole year. Let's work together towards the same goal.

Team members listening on the discussion topics, ready for actions.

My 1st Experience of Speedlite 580EX II
Sorry guys, did hear from me for long. Other than daily works, I'm also busy with my other 2 toys blog, www.toycarsmy.com and www.hwcmalaysia.com
Back to topic, William lend me his 580EX speedlite for the regional operations event, that was my 1st time hooked up the external flash light to my camera (1st time gone to him).
The experience for the flash light is fantastic, it allows me take photo at lower ISO and higher shutter speed, yet produced a satisfied photo.
This is photo, the flash was fired to the back, and the light just soft to highlight the outline of the features. Who is this in the picture? Is my daughter Celeste.
Still lot to learn, but 1st have to get myself a 580EX, RM1,500++, it's ain't cheap to buy.

Toy Photography
These are the 1st few pictures taken for my diecast blog. It weren't very good, but it gave me some ideas for my progress later.
The pictures have too shallow in the depth or feel, to counter that, I will need to take with tripod.
I'm still looking for one, fellow colleagues, any recommendations?Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL, F5.6, 1/25 Sec, ISO400, 85mm

Malaysia Community Service
From left to right, Jeniffer, Cindy and Lihua.
Today on behalf of GfK Malaysia along with a few other colleagues, we've paid a visit to Agathians Shelters in conjunction to our recent charity event which helps collected some donation to contribute to this orphanage.
The shelter home house about 40 children with only 6 rooms to share between them all. The surrounding seems clean but looking around at these children, it reminded me just how fortunate we are to have grown up in a warm and safe family.
According to the guardian, the shelter needs considerable fund each month in order to support these children. To date, they need more financial support to enable these children to a proper education.
If you would like to do your part as well in helping these children please contact any of our GfK committee members or call Mr Sivabalan at 012-2968014 or 03-79541680.

How are we doing?
Have you wonder how are we doing after a month plus? I have attached the web reports here for your perusal.
Total 1,281 hits and 700 visits over period of 1 month consider acceptable for relatively a new blog.
Table below demonstrates the ranking of our blog based on the key words in Google Search. How you read this is when you search GfK China, our blog will appear in 5th line of the search result. This also means, when you search GfK Photographer you will see it as 1st in the line.
Over 64% of visitors came from referring site, see results below, my blog contributed near 10%, follow by Chris Ting 5.14%.
To make our Club more popular, we need to gain more visitors from Search engine, this to be achieved by more interesting posts and keywords to increase the hits rate.
Lastly, we have visitors from 32 countries, and Hong Kong contributed the most. Second we have Singapore, Malaysia, China follow by Japan in bigger number. Do notice, we have Germany visitors too, not sure is it our colleague from headquarter.
That all for this month reports, I would say everyone is important to keep the Club going.
Cheers,
YeoCP//

How to Post?
Many of us are new blogging, some members may find no clue to post picture share for the 1st time.
I have some useful information to share with you, it is sufficient to kick start your blogging.
However, to make our Photo Club organize and pleasant, I suggest members label your post for easy reference and sorting.
Here is my suggestion:
1. Please label you name, e.g. myself I use YeoCP//.
- This is easier to sort out post by you and for post counter by member.
2. Please label by type.
- Example, portrait, scenery, sports, etc. Reuse existing labels as much as possible, create new labels only if you find existing is not related.
Oh~, before I forget, here are the links to help your blogging. Looking forward to see your photos.
